What happened on the show
Melchiorri's Libby, Montana, episode was really a family drama split across two motels. The Evergreen was the one in real trouble, going under, and it was owned by the son, while his parents ran the nearby Sandman, so the businesses and the family were tangled together. The episode, Rocky Relationships, made clear that saving the Evergreen meant first repairing the personal rifts between the son and his parents, because the money problems and the family problems were the same problem. Anthony worked the rooms and the kitchenette offering at 808 Mineral Avenue, but his central task was mediation, pushing a fractured family to work together so a failing motel could be pulled back from the edge. His fix respected the show's recurring lesson that a business cannot be fixed while the family running it is at war, and the Evergreen's survival depended on that reconciliation.
After the cameras left
The Evergreen pulled through. As of our 2026 verification the kitchenette motel at 808 Mineral Avenue in Libby is open, with an active official site and Facebook page, and it ranks near the top of the small town's handful of hotels. For a property the show explicitly described as going under, and whose survival hinged on healing a family rift, still being in business more than a decade later is a genuine save. Confirmed operating as of 2026.
