What happened on the show
Melchiorri walked into a genuine crisis in Nashua, New Hampshire, where the Country Barn combined a motel and campground and, per the episode, half the rooms were overrun with bed bugs while police made regular visits to arrest people using drugs on the property. That combination, an infestation plus a criminal element, is about as toxic as a lodging operation gets, driving away every legitimate guest. Anthony's task was to reclaim a property that had lost control of both its rooms and its clientele, which meant confronting the pest problem and the security situation before anything cosmetic could matter. He pushed ownership to clean out the infestation, cut off the drug activity and reset the operation around lodging travelers and campers actually want to book. The fix was fundamentally about safety and basic habitability, the floor beneath everything else a motel does.
After the cameras left
The Country Barn is still operating in Nashua. As of our 2026 pass the combined motel and campground at 507 Broad Street, which also offers studio, apartment and cabin lodging plus an RV park, is actively listed across multiple directories. No closure signal surfaced despite the severity of the problems the episode documented, so we log the status as confirmed operating with medium confidence on directory-level sourcing. For a property that was fighting an infestation and a crime problem on camera, still being in business is the notable outcome. Last confirmed active in our 2026 check.
