What happened on the show
In the small northern Pennsylvania town of Towanda, along the Susquehanna River, the Bradford Inn was a nine-room bed and breakfast plus a two-room carriage house, run by an owner Melchiorri found low on energy and shorter on know-how. The episode, Going Poconowhere, revealed an operator with no hospitality experience and, more troubling, no clear idea of what his inn needed to get back on track. A small-town B&B lives on the owner's engagement and hospitality instincts, so an inexperienced, disengaged host is a fundamental problem. Anthony studied the guest experience end to end, but his real task was educating and energizing an owner who did not know his own business, giving him a concrete plan and the drive to execute it. The point was one the show pressed at property after property for an out-of-his-depth operator: a small inn can succeed on charm and effort, but only if the person running it understands what guests actually need.
After the cameras left
The Bradford Inn is still welcoming guests along the Susquehanna. As of our 2026 verification the nine-room bed and breakfast, plus its two-room carriage house, is open with an active official site in downtown Towanda. The inexperienced, low-energy operation the episode found has stayed in business more than a decade on, still trading on its riverside small-town setting. Confirmed operating as of 2026.
