In Bossier City, Louisiana, across the river from Shreveport's casinos, Melchiorri confronted an abusive owner at the Bossier Inn and Suites, a property where the rooms stank, the pool was filthy and the housekeepers were underpaid. The episode, Boss's Time Out, framed a operation poisoned from the top, where the owner's treatment of staff and neglect of the property fed a downward spiral. A budget hotel in a casino market competes on cleanliness and value, so foul rooms and mistreated workers strike directly at the business.
