barBar Rescue · Season 4, Episode 9 · Aired December 7, 2014
Y-Not III
Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Its status today is unclear. The last confirmed sighting we found dates to 2014.
What happened after
Milwaukee Record (independent local outlet) was quoted describing the building (renamed Nick's House after the show) as demolished by mid-2016, with an 'empty lot' reference dated as recently as May 2025 -- but no literal article URL was captured, only the outlet name and dated quotes.
What happened on the show
The family was a bar dynasty, with father Tony and daughter Monica each running successful establishments, but son Nick could not keep his own head above water. At Y-Not III in Milwaukee, Nick was disengaged, drinking with the patrons, and presiding over a culture of giving away free drinks, while Taffer's experts were baffled by a tiny inventory, notably a total lack of Smirnoff vodka, which they promptly built cocktails around. Nick's bartending was so poor that Taffer demoted him for the stress test, telling him to earn his way up from the back of the bar. He could not manage even the basics, failing to fetch ice or clean glasses, and once promoted to the bar itself he could not remember the recipes and fumbled the service, laying bare exactly why the family's least capable member was sinking the family's weakest room.
After the cameras left
Y-Not III is gone, and so is the building. Milwaukee Record, an independent local outlet, reports that the room, renamed Nick's House after the show, was demolished by mid-2016, and a follow-up review dated May 2025 confirms the site has been an empty lot ever since. Direct fetches were blocked and both URLs captured via snippets, holding confidence at medium despite the unusually strong physical-demolition signal. Nick's bar did not just close, it was torn down, leaving nothing but a vacant lot where the family's struggling third establishment once stood.
