What happened on the show
Daq Shack in Milwaukee came in for the show's standard intervention, under owners India and Michael Guster. The room went through Bar Rescue's usual arc of scrutiny, confrontation, a stress test and a renovation aimed at giving the struggling daiquiri bar a stronger footing. The team reopened the venue as Royal Street MKE, a New Orleans-themed daiquiri bar, betting that a sharper concept and a disciplined operation could steady the room. The episode itself had an unusual path to air, swapped in at the last minute for a different one that had been advertised, but the rescue delivered the Gusters a new identity, with the familiar test of whether it would hold once filming wrapped. A Milwaukee daiquiri bar with a distinctive niche, it needed the discipline and clearer concept the rescue aimed to bring before its troubles pulled it under.
After the cameras left
Royal Street MKE stuck and is still operating. Renamed from Daq Shack, the New Orleans-themed daiquiri bar is confirmed via a direct Milwaukee Journal Sentinel article, an independent local newspaper, which names both the old and new names, owners India and Michael Guster, and current hours at 4191 North Green Bay Avenue, which puts the status at high confidence as a renamed survivor. The room carried the Royal Street identity forward and kept its doors open, landing this one firmly among the survivors of the ninth season.
