What happened on the show

Taffer headed to Texas to help a husband and wife rescue their failing bar and learn to be better partners in business. At The Brick Tavern in Sachse, the couple's struggles as co-owners mirrored the room's operational troubles, and the rescue treated the partnership and the bar as one problem, with Rangers infielder Nick Solak and his fiancee running the recon. The work aimed to teach the pair to lead together and to give the room a viable concept. Taffer reopened the venue under a refreshed identity, betting that a couple taught to function as partners could steady a bar their strained working relationship had been undermining, with the usual test of whether the changes would hold once the cameras left.

After the cameras left

The Brick Tavern is now Char Bar and BBQ, following a rebrand. The room was reworked into a barbecue-focused concept at 7340 South State Highway 78 in Sachse, keeping live music as a draw, which puts the status at medium confidence as renamed, corroborated by a secondary outlet. The couple's bar carried forward under the new Char Bar identity, landing this one among the renamed survivors of the eighth season, a Texas room that traded its original concept for a barbecue-and-music format after the rescue.
