Skip & Jan's Sports Bar

Gilbert, Arizona

Sold to new ownership (Natalie Phyllis, a former employee, and her husband) who rebranded it.

What happened on the show

Skip and Jan's Sports Bar in Gilbert, Arizona, came in for Taffer's standard intervention, with Arizona Coyotes announcers Matt McConnell and Tyson Nash brought in for the recon. The room, which had relocated to its Warner Road address after 29 years at a prior spot and boasted 18 pool tables, went through the show's arc of scrutiny, confrontation and renovation. Taffer reopened the venue as Natalie's, a rebrand meant to give the long-running sports bar a fresh identity, betting that a sharper concept and a disciplined operation could steady a room with decades of history behind it, with the usual open question of whether the new direction would hold once the cameras left the Phoenix suburbs. A sports bar with decades of history and eighteen pool tables, recently relocated after 29 years elsewhere, it had real equity worth protecting through the reset Taffer forced on the operation.

After the cameras left

Skip and Jan's is now Natalie's Bar and Grill, under new ownership. The room was sold to Natalie Phyllis, a former employee, and her husband, who rebranded it at 1520 West Warner Road in Gilbert, which puts the status at high confidence as renamed. The long-running sports bar, which had 18 pool tables and had relocated after 29 years at a prior location, carried forward under fresh hands and a new name, landing this one among the venues that survived a change of ownership, a former staffer stepping up to run the room she once worked in.
