Pineapple Hill Grill

Tustin, California

RENAMED

Still going, now under a new name. It now goes by Renz Social House.

What happened after

Rebranded post-rescue as Renz Social House; a Yelp reviewer notes it reopened after the COVID shutdown; still hosts karaoke Tue-Sun 9pm.

What happened on the show

Pineapple Hill Grill in Tustin came in for Taffer's standard rescue treatment. The room went through the show's usual arc, a recon of the customer experience, a confrontation over the operation's problems, a stress test of the staff, and a renovation meant to give the bar a fresh footing. Taffer reopened the venue as Renz Social House, a rebrand meant to reposition the room with a sharper, more social identity, betting that a clearer concept and a disciplined operation could steady a struggling Tustin bar. The reveal delivered a new name and look, with the familiar test of whether the owners could sustain the changes through the challenges that lay ahead, including a pandemic that arrived soon after. The Tustin room had the bones of a real social hub, and the rebrand aimed to make that promise explicit before the pandemic tested it.

After the cameras left

Renz Social House stuck and is still operating at the same address, 654 East 1st Street in Tustin. A Yelp reviewer notes it reopened after the COVID shutdown, and it still hosts karaoke Tuesday through Sunday nights, which puts the status at high confidence as a renamed survivor. Pineapple Hill Grill's room kept the Renz Social House identity Taffer gave it and weathered the pandemic to stay open, landing this one firmly among the survivors, one of the clearer outcomes among the season-seven California rescues.
