West Palm Beach, Florida

It has since closed. The site is now home to Aura Nightclub (also now closed).

What happened after

At 114 S Narcissus Ave; renamed Aura Nightclub after Bar Rescue. Aura Nightclub is now closed per MapQuest.

What happened on the show

Two club promoters had taken over a West Palm Beach bar carrying far more baggage than they had bargained for. Mystique Lounge, at 114 South Narcissus Avenue, was already notorious in the area, its reputation stained by a shooting outside the venue a few years earlier, and poor management, declining conditions and a promoter drawing exactly the wrong crowd had finished the job of dragging it down. Taffer's rescue had to clean up both the physical room and the clientele it attracted, a two-part problem where fixing the space meant little if the same trouble kept walking in the door. He reopened the venue under a new name, Aura Nightclub, a deliberate break with the tainted Mystique identity meant to signal that the room, its management and its crowd had all changed at once. The gamble was whether a fresh name and a cleaned-up operation could outrun a reputation for violence that had preceded the new owners' arrival.

After the cameras left

The fresh name did not fix the underlying trouble. Aura Nightclub eventually closed as well, with MapQuest carrying a closed tag for the successor venue at the same address. Sourcing is limited to that directory listing, keeping confidence at medium, but the read is consistent: a bar that arrived at the rescue already burdened by a violent reputation did not find lasting stability under either name.
