What happened on the show

Out-of-control bartenders were too busy dancing on the bar to actually pour drinks, and their antics were driving women out of the room. At Heat Restaurant and Lounge in Hollywood, Florida, Taffer had to get the husband-and-wife owners and their general manager to reclaim control of a staff whose partying had taken over the business. The rescue centered on restoring authority, since no menu or decor change would hold while the bartenders ran the floor as their personal stage. Taffer reopened the venue as Club Ele, a sleeker nightclub identity meant to reset both the crowd and the culture, betting that owners pushed to rein in their own staff could turn a room defined by bar-top dancing into a functioning business.

After the cameras left

Heat, rebranded Club Ele, closed permanently in 2015, the same year its episode aired. Orlando Weekly, an independent alt-weekly, reports the closure in its Bar Rescue retrospective, a secondary source that holds the ending at medium confidence, and a Peruvian and Cuban restaurant, Cabo Blanco, now occupies the former 1936 Hollywood Boulevard location. The partying staff Taffer tried to rein in outlasted his fixes only briefly: the nightclub was gone within the year, and its room has since become a restaurant.
