A small country bar in rural Idaho was going under, and Taffer had to save it while teaching its general manager to be a true leader. At Corner Cafe Bar and Grill in Horseshoe Bend, the state of the room was rough enough that Taffer performed the recon himself alongside his expert, and during the stress test he literally threw a white flag, something he noted had happened only two or three times in the show's history. The rescue worked to develop the manager into a real leader and steady a struggling rural bar. Taffer reopened the venue as Country Barn Corner Cafe, betting that a capable manager and a fitting country concept could keep a small-town Idaho room from going under, with the usual test of whether the changes would last.

The country bar continues at 446 Idaho Highway 55 in Horseshoe Bend, with an active Facebook page and a TripAdvisor listing rated 4.3 across 32 reviews, which puts the status at high confidence as a renamed survivor. The struggling rural Idaho bar survived its rescue, white-flag stress test and all, and carried the Country Barn identity forward, landing this one among the survivors of the eighth season, a small-town room that found its footing under a manager Taffer pushed to lead.
