Club 21

Goodells, Michigan

OPEN

This one survived. It remains in business.

What happened after

Facebook page "Club 21 Restaurant and Bar" (5,027 likes, active) and Chamber of Commerce listing confirm continued operation under the original name, despite the show's attempted rename to "Rix Ranch."

What happened on the show

Club 21 in Goodells, Michigan, run by owner Dave Ricks since 2019, came in for the show's standard intervention. The room, a restaurant and bar, went through Bar Rescue's usual arc, a recon of the operation, a confrontation over its problems, a stress test of the staff, and a renovation aimed at giving the struggling business a stronger footing. The show attempted a rename to Rix Ranch Bar and Grill, a play on the owner's name, betting that a sharper concept and a disciplined operation could steady the room. The reveal handed the owner a new direction, with the familiar test of whether the changes, and the new name, would take hold once filming wrapped in Michigan. A Goodells restaurant and bar under owner Dave Ricks since 2019, it had a loyal local following worth protecting through the reset the show forced.

After the cameras left

Club 21 is still operating, under its original name. The show's attempted rename to Rix Ranch did not stick, and the business retains the Club 21 name, with an active Facebook page carrying more than 5,000 likes and a chamber-of-commerce listing under owner Dave Ricks at 8385 Lapeer Road in Goodells, which puts the open call at medium confidence. The room kept the physical improvements but held its original identity, landing this one among the survivors of the ninth season, a Michigan restaurant and bar that carried its makeover forward.
