An owner had made some dubious calls on the theme, decor and menu of her Ybor City bar, and Taffer arrived to help untangle them. At Cerealholic Cafe and Bar in Florida, the concept itself was part of the problem, a set of decisions that had left the room without a coherent identity or a menu that worked. The rescue centered on replacing those missteps with a functional concept and a clearer operation. Taffer reopened the venue as The Loft, an elevated bar-and-food rebrand meant to give the room a viable identity, betting that a coherent concept and a disciplined operation could turn an owner's questionable choices into a business that could actually draw and keep a crowd in the competitive Ybor City nightlife district.

Cerealholic, rebranded The Loft, closed on August 21, 2022, only months after the rescue. Creative Loafing Tampa Bay, an independent alt-weekly, reported the closure, with the owners shutting the room to focus on family issues, which puts the ending at high confidence. Whatever the elevated rebrand fixed about the theme, decor and menu, the personal choice to step away ended it quickly. The Ybor City bar did not survive long past its makeover, closing out another Florida rescue from the eighth season's back stretch.
