What happened on the show
A husband and wife needed to rescue their failing Texas bar and, just as urgently, learn how to be better partners in business. At Ace's Sports Hangar in The Colony, the couple's professional partnership was as strained as their operation, and Taffer's work centered on getting them to function as a team, with Rangers infielder Nick Solak and his fiancee brought in as recon spies. The rescue reopened the room under a sharpened take on the old name, betting that a couple taught to work together, paired with a clearer concept, could steady a bar their partnership problems had been dragging down, treating the marriage-in-business dynamic as the key to fixing everything else about the room. A Texas bar whose survival hinged on two people learning to work as partners, it made the marriage-in-business dynamic the real puzzle Taffer had to solve before anything else could stick.
After the cameras left
Ace's Sports Hangar is now Twisted Bar and Grill, under new ownership. The venue was reportedly already sold or closed under its original owners before the episode even aired, and new owners rebranded it as Twisted Bar and Grill at 6520 Cascades Court in The Colony, which puts the status at medium confidence as renamed. The husband-and-wife team's bar did not carry forward under them, but the room itself continued under fresh hands and a new name, landing this one among the venues that survived a change of ownership.
