Formerly a fine-dining bar and bistro.

What happened after

Bar and bistro at 613 N 19th St continues operating; active Facebook page and July 2025 event listings confirm ongoing operations.

What happened on the show

In the theatre district of Allentown, Ramsay found a room that had slid from fine dining bar and bistro into something confused, and the surveillance pinned the cause on a change of hands. The new owner, Joe, came from a sports bar background and would not let his executive chef rebuild the old menu properly, insisting on low quality ingredients while his own father piled on negative feedback. The recon showed the toll spreading past the food into Joe's marriage, his business, and everyone's nerves. Ramsay used the twenty four hours to break that loop, backing the chef, confronting the father's corrosive commentary, tightening the offer, and revealing a refreshed room at the buzzer. His point was that an owner who overrides his own kitchen and absorbs a relative's abuse will lose both the food and the family in the same slow collapse.

After the cameras left

Shanty on 19th came through it. As of our latest verification pass the bar and bistro at 613 North 19th Street was still operating, with an active Facebook page and event listings running into July 2025. Diners have singled out the burgers, though more recent reviews carry complaints about the crab. Steady operation years past the episode puts Allentown's theatre district room among the show's survivors, even if the kitchen still draws the occasional grumble.
