What happened on the show

Series 3 preserved only a one-line note that Ruth Watson went to Great Yarmouth to try to transform this property, trading as the Haven Hotel or No.78. It was one of the small seaside guest houses that filled her third series in autumn 2007, and it was considered notable enough to feature again in the 2008 Revisited special. The episode summary does not record the specific problems she diagnosed or the remedies she set, so rather than invent a narrative the fair account stops at the verifiable frame: a struggling Great Yarmouth bed and breakfast that sought the inspector's help during Watson's final series and drew a follow-up visit. Airing in October 2007, it was one of the last cases of the Ruth Watson era, and the 2008 Revisited special returned to it.

After the cameras left

The current status of this one cannot be established. Searches for the small independent guest house are swamped entirely by the unrelated Haven holiday-park brand, whose Great Yarmouth sites dominate every generic query, leaving the little No.78 operation effectively invisible. No signal surfaced either way, for continued trading or for closure. The honest position is last confirmed around the 2007 broadcast, with the present picture unverified. It remains a recheck candidate, best approached later through address-specific or street-name searches rather than the name alone.
