hotelThe Hotel Inspector · Season 13, Episode 3 · Aired July 11, 2017
Colliter's Brook Farm
Near Bristol
It closed and is no longer operating.
What happened after
The Colliters Brook Farm business/domain is still active but has been repurposed entirely to an airport parking service (Bristol Airport Park & Ride); the official site shows no bed-and-breakfast/overnight-guest offering anywhere, so classified closed as a B&B even though the underlying farm business continues under the same name.
What happened on the show
The Hotel Inspector headed to Colliter's Brook Farm near Bristol in series 13 to untangle the struggling business of its owner, Richard, knocked off course after a planning application was refused. That rejected application was the pivot of the case: a setback outside the owner's control that had knocked a farm-based accommodation venture off course. Polizzi's task was to find a viable path for a business whose original plan had been blocked, working out what Richard could still make of the property given the constraint the planners had imposed. The rural setting near Bristol Airport gave the operation a potential angle, if a workable use for the site could be found within the rules. Richard's planning-derailed venture aired in July 2017 before the farm pivoted entirely away from lodging into airport parking.
After the cameras left
Colliter's Brook Farm has closed as a bed and breakfast. The farm business and its domain remain active but have pivoted entirely to an airport parking service, a Bristol Airport park and ride, with the official site showing no overnight-guest offering anywhere in its navigation as of 2026. Given the underlying farm continues under the same name, this is classified as closed as accommodation rather than a full shutdown, held at medium confidence because a legacy booking channel elsewhere could not be fully ruled out. The blocked planning application Polizzi grappled with seems to have pushed the business away from lodging altogether.
