Restaurant still operating with regular hours.
What happened on the show
Manny Martins was preparing to move his Brick Township restaurant to a bigger space, but theft and vandalism kept hitting the site under construction, pushing back the reopening while his current room lost customers. Charles Stiles' investigator Daniel staked out the new location, and a single mystery diner, Megan, went in as a waitress. As aired, a manager was clean and a sous chef merely opening his own place, but a hostess was lying about openings to divert guests to that rival, even pulling the fire alarm, while a waiter broke into the new site, spray-painted an insult and smashed vases before stealing the point-of-sale system. The confrontation has Manny firing all three. Because Mystery Diners was later accused of scripting these reveals, this venue-vandalism sting is best read as broadcast rather than as independently confirmed.
After the cameras left
Spanish Potato Grill is still open, and the move went through. The restaurant operates at 55 Brick Boulevard, its Yelp listing updated as recently as July 2026 in our pass. An independent that appeared on a crisis show completed its relocation and kept serving, its survival the ordinary kind rather than a rescue. The vandalism drama made an episode; it was never the measure of whether this room would last, and it not only lasted but grew into the bigger space the owner had been chasing.
