What happened after

Restaurant (Inman Park area, owners Richard and Jorge) closed in 2013. A brief 2020 revival attempt with a new website lapsed when that site expired in 2021.

What happened on the show

A Caesar salad made with grilled lettuce was the first thing Ramsay could not make sense of at Park's Edge, and he carried the limp, wilted leaf around the dining room to show the customers. Best friends Richard and Jorge had opened the restaurant in Atlanta's Inman Park, but Richard, with no restaurant experience, had gotten it off on the wrong foot in the neighborhood, putting an unpermitted tent over the parking lot and serving liquor without a license, a rocky start that curdled into a public feud with the community. Ramsay found the menu a confusing jumble of cuisines and everything oddly spicy, including flash-fried oysters so overbreaded and hot that Richard, tasting them blind, could not even tell they were oysters. Jorge kept insisting the food was not the problem, even as a bartender wandered out mid-service to beg Ramsay to make some sense of the place.

After the cameras left

Park's Edge closed in 2013. A brief revival flickered in 2020 with a new website, but it lapsed when the site expired the following year, so the return never really materialized. Two friends who opened a restaurant with more charisma than know-how, and started off at odds with their own neighborhood, could not build the momentum to last, and the Inman Park spot did not stay a restaurant under the name.
