What happened on the show

On the New York side of Niagara Falls, the Waldorf Niagara was a hotel with an indoor pool and an on-site restaurant less than a mile from the American Falls, well positioned to catch the endless flow of tourists. The episode, Dirty Water Falls, pinned the trouble on filthy rooms and a general manager and owner who were not paying attention. A hotel that close to one of the world's great natural attractions has demand handed to it, so dirty rooms and inattentive leadership are self-inflicted wounds that show up fast in reviews. Anthony worked the rooms and the operation, pushing the owner and GM to actually engage with their property and to deliver the clean, functional stay that a Niagara tourist hotel should be able to provide easily. It reflected the blunt principle the format lived by for a location-blessed property let down by neglect: the guests are coming regardless, so cleanliness and attentive management are the entire job.

After the cameras left

The Waldorf Niagara is still operating near the falls. As of our 2026 pass the hotel, with its indoor pool and on-site restaurant about seven-tenths of a mile from the American Falls, is actively listed on a major booking platform. It should not be confused with two similarly named Niagara properties that also surface in searches; this is the Waldorf Niagara Hotel specifically. With sourcing at the listing level, we log the status as confirmed operating with medium confidence. Last confirmed active in our 2026 check.
