Uncle Albert's Pub

Houston, Texas

OPEN

Open. The rescue stuck and it continues to operate.

What happened after

Official site (unclealbertspub.com) still displays the business as "Uncle Albert's Pub" with an active weekly events schedule (crawfish Sunday, bingo Monday, steak night Tuesday), though the site's copyright footer is dated 2018. A separate report claims bartenders now promote the bar as "Big W Cattle Company" post-makeover, but that rebrand was NOT visible on the bar's own primary web presence.

What happened on the show

Uncle Albert's Pub in Houston received a Bar Rescue intervention led not by Jon Taffer but by expert Phil Wills, joined by Danny Trejo, part of the show's rotating roster in its later seasons. The pub went through the usual arc of scrutiny, confrontation, a stress test and a renovation aimed at giving a struggling Houston room a stronger footing. The team proposed reopening the venue as Big W Cattle Company, a rebrand meant to sharpen the concept, betting that a clearer identity and a disciplined operation could steady the pub. The reveal handed the owners a new direction, with the familiar test of whether the changes and the new name would take hold once the cameras left Texas. A Houston pub with a loyal weekly-events crowd, it needed the discipline and clearer identity the intervention aimed to bring before its troubles deepened.

After the cameras left

Uncle Albert's Pub appears to still be operating, under its original name. The bar's own official site still displays it as Uncle Albert's Pub with an active weekly events schedule, including crawfish Sundays and steak nights, at 6172 Barker Cypress Road in Houston, though the site's footer is dated 2018, which puts the open call at medium confidence. A separate report claims bartenders now promote the room as Big W Cattle Company, but that rebrand was not visible on the bar's own primary web presence, so the original name is kept. The pub appears to have held its doors open.
